Blocks Of Emerald are decoration blocks that are crafted with Emeralds. Emerald blocks are plainly used for storing emeralds, but they can also be used as decoration and construction. Blocks of emerald first appeared in snapshot 12w22a after popular demand when emeralds were added to the game. To make an emerald block, one must first obtain nine emeralds, then, on a crafting table, put the emeralds in a 3×3 square. Blocks of emerald can also be used to form the pyramid for a beacon. Because emeralds are difficult to get in large amounts without large farms one may choose to use another block as a substitute for the beacon pyramid (Blocks of iron are more suitable, since they are significantly common). Emerald blocks are obtainable without cheats.
