A cartography table is a utility block found in villages.

Sources[edit | edit source]

Uses[edit | edit source]

Cartography tables can be used in cloning, zooming out, and expanding maps. If a village has a cartography table but no cartographer, any nearby Villager without a profession has a chance to become a cartographer.

Mechanics[edit | edit source]

A map can be enlarged by combining an existing map and a piece of Paper in the cartography table. A map can be copied by placing it into the table with an empty map. A map can be locked in its current state by placing it in the table with a Glass Pane.

Crafting[edit | edit source]

Crafting a cartography table is as simple as using four wooden planks of any type with two pieces of paper. It can even be crafted within a 2×2 inventory grid (only in Bedrock Edition).
