The Character Creator is a place where the Player can personalize their avatar with free and paid-for cosmetic items. It was announced at Minecon Live 2019 for Bedrock Edition 1.13 and for Minecraft Earth. It can be accessed by selecting the character profile button on the main menu. Many clothing items cost Minecoins (Tokens on PlayStation 4). When it first released, players could get an exclusive cape for free known as the Founder's Cape. It was an orange cape with a creeper face on it and players could only get it for a limited time.
