Hardened glass is a type of glass that has been chemically strengthened. It is available in clear and colored variants, similarly to normal glass. It is only available in Minecraft: Education Edition. Remember, You can break glass, but it'll not drop anything.

Obtaining[edit | edit source]

  1. Unlike normal glass, hardened glass will drop itself when broken with any tool or by hand. It also takes significantly longer to break.
  2. Using the elements in Minecraft: Education Edition, you can create this block by using a crafting bench.
  3. Fill the top row of the crafting bench with Aluminum Oxide, and the bottom row with Boron Trioxide. Fill the middle row with stained glass.(Will produce 3 hardened glass)

Usage[edit | edit source]

Most blocks that require placement on a solid block cannot be placed on hardened glass or hardened stained glass. The only exceptions are torches and redstone torches, which can be placed on top of the hardened glass blocks, but not attached to their sides.

Hardened glass blocks adjacent to other hardened glass blocks are invisible when viewed through the glass, but not when viewed through normal glass. One can also come across the same effect when using the pane variant of hardened glass.
