Iceberg

An Iceberg is a natural structure that was added in update 1.13. Icebergs are known to generate in frozen ocean biomes, with some of the iceberg above water and some submerged. Icebergs consist of ice, packed ice, and blue ice.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Icebergs are found in frozen ocean biomes, usually in groups. In some cases, the water nearby the icebergs may be frozen; and polar bears and strays may spawn. Cod will spawn in this biome, but dolphins won't. Shipwrecks and ruins can generate here.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

This is the second natural structure to be composed of packed ice, the first being ice spikes.
This is the only place in the game where blue ice can be found naturally.
Blue ice is the block players can walk the fastest on, with packed ice in 2nd and regular ice in 3rd.
