Overview[edit | edit source]

The Key Golem is a passive mob in Minecraft: Dungeons. They are used to unlock doors, and are found sleeping. They will try to run away from the player, but if the player interacts with it, the Key Golem will be strapped on the player's back. While doing so, the Key Golem will try to get off, and if a player takes damage while carrying one, the Key Golem will run back to the place it was found.

Functions[edit | edit source]

The Key Golem is used to open doors, like previously stated, and makes loud sounds that can be heard from behind walls and objects. The Yellow Key Golem is used to open doors with Yellow Locks, and the Blue Key Golem is used to open doors with Blue Locks. The Yellow Key Golem is much more common, but is often more hidden than a Blue Key Golem.
