Legacy Console Edition collectively refers to several nearly identical and discontinued editions of Minecraft, developed by 4J Studios for consoles. It comprised editions for:
This edition of Minecraft introduced new features such as a simplified crafting system, in-game tutorials, and split-screen multiplayer (excluding Vita), as well as online multiplayer for up to eight players online. Online multiplayer requires a Nintendo Network for the Wii U, an Xbox Live for the Xbox 360, and a PlayStation Plus for the PlayStation 3 and Vita.
Bedrock Edition[edit | edit source]
Bedrock Edition contains three consoles that were originally part of the Legacy Console Edition but were given the features and cross-play of Bedrock.
