Night Vision

The icon for the Night Vision effect.

Night Vision is a Status Effect which enhances a player's field-of-view in dark environments (including underwater) by increasing the brightness level. The brightness will flash during the final 10 seconds before the effect wears off.

Like all status effects, it can be removed by drinking Milk.

• Potion of Night Vision
• Arrow of Night Vision

Trivia

• The inclusion of the key ingredient in the night vision recipe, the Golden Carrot, is based off the debated misconception that consuming carrots can increase one's sight.
• This effect is useful when fighting hostile mobs during the night.
• Using this effect in The End will make the sky seem brighter, and will apear light purple, and the sky will look fuzzy.
